Surfing on the Central Coast

Surfing has a profound effect on the region through both the attraction of tourism and effecting how people in the region live their lives daily. The Central Coast has an extensive and diverse range of breaks that suit all levels of surfer. With waves ranging from powerful reef breaks to long points and mellow beach breaks there is a wave to suit everyone. Thanks to our exposed coastline and different angled beaches there are always waves somewhere on the Central Coast. Some of the best surf spots to check out if your visiting the region would be Avoca Beach, Forrester's Beach and Box Head all of which are known around Australia for having great surfing waves however due to their popularity can be quite crowded especially over the Christmas period. If your looking for something a little more off the beaten path and unknown its not hard to find great waves with little to no crowd. For anyone planning to visit the Central Coast its a must do in the region. The images below were taken from a series of surf spots all along the Central Coast and show the amazing potential of waves in the region
