Central Coast Living - Vlog Post

This is our Vlog post about life on the Central Coast. It captures all elements of a day on the Coast, from a layback morning surf or bush walk after breakfast to a day of shopping and lunch by the beach through to the exciting nightlife out at Terrigal. All members contributed to all parts of our Vlog each filming sections and featuring in the film through to editing the final product as well as the brainstorming procedure of what our video would look like. Intencity Erina Fair

Intencity is a store which allows for the chance to play video games by inserting one or two dollar coins. This is the perfect venue for a party, a catch up or the chance to settle your differences over a few friendly video games! Intensity is located in the HUB of Erina Fair, making it the perfect location for if you get hungry, thirsty or need an easy toilet break. When you win, you receive tokens which allow you to exchange those tokens for lollies, prizes or other goods behind the counter. This venue is children friendly and caters for all age groups ranging from as young as 4-5 to elderly if you're up for the challenge! I 100% recommend this venue for anyone, or group of people who are looking for something to do on a rainy day, with hours of fun to be had in store! The Entrance

The Entrance is located in the mid-northern part of the Central Coast and offers a vast array for locals and tourists alike. The Entrance is a beautiful destination with a beautifully developed foreshore that looks over the sparkling Tuggerah Lakes. On the other side are several pristine beaches. The Entrance has been a major holiday destination on the Central Coast for decades due to its ability to offer something for everyone including fine dining and bars, Carnivals, Surfing, Fishing, markets and much more. A recommended activity when visiting The Entrance is to watch the Pelican feeding that occurs on the waterfront at 3:30 daily, nearby is a splash pool and playground for kids of all ages. The vast array and variety of activities in The Entrance makes it a must do when visiting the Central Coast region. Pulse Nightclub

Pulse nightclub, located at the Gosford CBD is a great a place to go out with friends on weekend (strictly 18+). it is a $15 entry fee to get into the nightclub, and once your in you get a stamp and you can come and go as you please, just make sure you have the stamp on your arm still. They have $5 vodka mixers and vodka red bulls at 4 for $20 most nights. there is a wide range of dance floors with a vast range of music for everyone's particular taste. Every night there is a different DJ, and a different event is on most weekends to keep the vibe going. they have some major headlining acts as well as locally sourced DJ talent. Pulse enforces the lockout law at 2 am but closes at around 3:30 am - 4:00 am. it is close to Gosford train station and Gosford leagues club as well as availability of food. Overall pulse is a great nightclub and i would recommend attending there most weekends if your looking for a good vibe and a few drinks with your friends. 10/10 would go there every week...

Fisherman's Wharf Woy Woy

Fisherman's Wharf is a fish market, a takeaway fish and chip shop and a classy restaurant all under the one roof built over the water! The Wharf is located in Woy Woy on the New South Wales Central Coast. The wharf has it all, it is a licensed venue that caters for a casual lunch of fish and chips by the water to a classy restaurant meal in the newly built restaurant over the water or you can pick up some fresh seafood to take home and cook yourself! The wharf is a very family friendly venue with a free pelican feeding show everyday at three o'clock and play equipment for the kids within very close proximity of the wharf. The wharf is in an extremely accessible location with plenty of 2 hour parking near the wharf as well as may public wharfs to come by boat. It is also only a 2 minute walk from Woy Woy train station and the wharf next to the local Saratoga Ferry service. Tuggerah Westfield Shopping Centre

Tuggerah Westfield Shopping Centre is a very versatile shopping centre which caters for the shopping, entertainment and everyday needs of people on the Central Coast. This shopping centre has Event Cinemas containing 8 cinemas, a wide variety of stores ranging from clothing, home ware, grocery, arts and craft, gaming, cafe;s and many more. The shopping centre was opened in 1995 and since has been open 7 days a week 9 AM until 5 PM. With a high amount of parking upon entry on the roof top or ground floor, your shopping experience always begins relaxed with the ease of finding a close park! This is shopping centre has activities for all ages. For the kids there are children rated movies in the Event Cinema accessed via the food court, Time Zone and multiple play gyms located in the shopping isle to allow you children the chance to blow of some energy in when they become restless during your shop! Tree Tops Adventure Park

Tree Tops Adventure Park is an action packed experience for those seeking thrills and adventure. Located within the Ourimbah State Forest at Yarramalong, Tree Tops is a must do if visiting or living on the Central Coast. Tree Tops offer a wide variety of activities and attractions to keep everyone from young to old entertained for hours. The high ropes course which was the original attraction of Tree Tops is one of the biggest, highest and most diverse high ropes courses in Australia offering a number of different course from kids and beginners courses to Expert ones. Another Tree Tops attraction is the net world, net world is a series of nets that allow you to bounce around and play high up in the treetops having vast spaces to play and explore. Gosford RSL

The Gosford RSL, Located at In West Gosford, Central Coast, NSW is a great place to come and spend some time with family and friends any day of the week. The membership is relatively cheap and you get great perks from having a members card. There are lots of things to do to keep you occupied in your time at the RSL. There are a lot of things to do as a family there but there is equally the same amount of things to do with your friends. For young children, there is an indoor playground that is very safe and quite large, children need to be attended to at all times. For the teenagers, they have video game consoles there to keep them entertained while the rest of the family is off having fun. the whole family can come back together to have a nice bowl of chips at the bistro. For the 18+ there is an abundance of things to do like play the pokies, put a bet on in the TAB room, play a game of snooker and have a drink or two. 304 on West is an amazing café located in Umina Beach on the New South Wales Central Coast. The café is one of the many along west street Umina but 304 stands out with its bright orange sign and big writing “304”! The café inside is fully air-conditioned to escape the weather but also offers outside seating under umbrellas to suit all. They cater to all tastes on the breakfast menu with options from the classic bacon and egg roll on an amazing Turkish style toasted bun to an all veggie breakfast with two eggs, while the lunch menu offers a range of foods including local salt and pepper squid. The burger menu offers all kinds of burgers from chicken schnitzel to American beef burger including a 304 special Caesar wrap, along with a side of fries and your choice of sauce. Bars and Clubs in Terrigal, NSW

Terrigal is a beachfront suburb on the Central Coast which has a wide variety of Cafes, Restaurants, Bars and Clubs. A typical weekend can consist of multiple visits to this venue if you're looking for a relaxing sunset drink with a friend, or for a wild night out at one of the clubs. On a Friday night you may consider a drink at Mumbo Jumbo's rooftop bar over looking the ocean, Surf club and Terrigal beach's bustling streets. Once you've ordered your jug of choice cocktail to share among friends, you can settle into the relaxed, tropical feeling of this bar. If you're enjoying your night so far, it will only get better... you can take the short walk down the main street to a bar called Rhonda's. Here you can adventure upstairs to the bar terrace for another drink or two, or you can stay downstairs and enjoy a lovely cooked gourmet meal from the menu. Erina Fair is a fashion and social hot spot on the Central Coast offering something for everyone. The Erina Fair shopping center opened in 1987 and has become an integral part of the Central Coast since its opening. Erina Fair offers some of the best shopping on the Central Coast with stores that include Sephora, Mimco, Pandora, Nike and Myer allowing locals to keep up to date with the latest trends. Apart from exceptional shopping Erina Fair has great activities for the family such as the Movies, Ice Skating and Timezone. There are also endless dining options with anything from Chinese to Mexican being available for lunch and dinner. Erina Fair is a hub for social connection on the coast, its where people can go to catch up with a friend for coffee, shop for the latest trends or go to watch a movie with the family.

Central Coast Leagues Club

Nightclubs on the Central Coast are a fun, exciting, social night out with friends. The Central Coast Leagues Club is a great place to hang out with your friends, located in Gosford CBD. Sign up for a membership and gain the perks that the club has to offer. You can play a casual or competitive game of pool at the Terrace rooftop bar while enjoying a jug of mixed cocktails or beer under the night sky. If you work up an appetite from all the pool you can venture downstairs into the all you can eat or keep it fancy and head for the Chinese restaurant. Once you have finished your meal you might be feeling lucky, you can head on down to the gaming lounge and test your luck on the pokies or maybe play some roulette. The Central Coast Leagues Club is a great place to hang with your friends and spend some time on your weekends. 10/10 would recommend this venue for a fun night out with some friends or family!!! Gosford City Ten Pin Bowling

Ten Pin Bowling is a great day or night out for the family, a first date, a heated competition or even just for fun with some friends. The Gosford City Ten Pin Bowling Centre located in Wyoming on the Central Coast is just a 5-minute drive out of the Gosford CBD. The centre has many fun weekly events and specials with Wacky Weekdays! Offering $7 games or Sunday Funday! Offering 2 games for $18, while Friday nights get groovy with a disco themed all you can bowl for $20 per person. The Cafe at the centre has many foods available for a low price from hot chips and gravy to schnitzel burgers and chips as well as lollies, chocolates soft drinks and slushies. The Australian Reptile Park

The Australian Reptile Park is located in Somersby on the Central Coast of New South Wales, the home of Ploddy the Dinosaur! The Reptile Park is a zoo which caters for all ages from young children to the elderly. This park is perfect for a day out with the family allowing for the children to wander the 'Hands-On' experience feeding, petting or holding animals, or watching the live shows including feeding of the crocodiles. Tickets costed $39 per adult entry for a normal admission, and this buys unlimited entry all day long! This also means you can walk through the park experiencing the animals at different times of the day, and you can take as long as you like, stopping for a picnic in between tours. The park consists of many different reptiles and native Australian animals some wandering their enclosures and others freely wandering the park's grassed picnic areas, for example the Kangaroos. Surfing on the Central Coast

Surfing has a profound effect on the region through both the attraction of tourism and effecting how people in the region live their lives daily. The Central Coast has an extensive and diverse range of breaks that suit all levels of surfer. With waves ranging from powerful reef breaks to long points and mellow beach breaks there is a wave to suit everyone. Thanks to our exposed coastline and different angled beaches there are always waves somewhere on the Central Coast. Some of the best surf spots to check out if your visiting the region would be Avoca Beach, Forrester's Beach and Box Head all of which are known around Australia for having great surfing waves however due to their popularity can be quite crowded especially over the Christmas period. If your looking for something a little more off the beaten path and unknown its not hard to find great waves with little to no crowd.
